Crane Crew responded that it could not take me in the cage due to wind conditions. After a while they put me in the dog box for 15 min, and then Brought me back to the unloading point due to rainy weather and windy conditions keeping on hold until better conditions, hence they had gone for smoko, after a while the crane called it off for the day |

March 19, 2025 | SA | Bianco Precast | Uniting - Bowden | Location: caulking on north west panels. – We did not have access to the South east panels due to an exclusion zone for a concrete pumper. -It was done exterior caulking and grouting tubes using the dog box, cage. – 8 tubes filled out on a panel that was installed by mistake with tubes facing the exterior face using a dog box for access. – Material: 6 bags of grouting sika GP used in the tubes. – John arrived around lunch time to help Angelo in order to mix grouting and pass through canes while Angelo was moving inside the cage. 1 task: arrived 7 to 8:30 Fill out swms, set up exclusion zone, check and pass harness code, cage checking, pre-start, checking access to tubes that would be grouting, making sure all requirements were met before starting, waiting on harness checking. 2 task: 8:30 to 12:30 caulking: exterior caulking using a dog box, crane crew very slow, and too much smoking time. 3 task: 12:30 to 15:30 Slow process due to difficult access to the panels since there were some trees on our way, the cage had to be positioned above a pathway and cycling lane, too much waiting time in position the cage next to panels and also a spotter was needed provided by the builder, further more it was needed moving fences, and so on. |
